LEAF Sustainable Farming Review
The LEAF Sustainable Farming Review is a management tool for farmers
The LEAF Sustainable Farming Review is a self-assessment on-line management tool to help farmers farm more sustainably. It enables them to monitor their performance, identify strengths and weaknesses and set targets for improvement across the whole farm.
The LEAF Sustainable Farming Review covers the whole farm business, focusing on the 9 sections of Integrated Farm Management (IFM): Organisation and Planning, Soil Management and Fertility, Crop Health and Protection, Pollution Control and By-Product Management, Animal Husbandry, Energy Efficiency, Water Management, Landscape and Nature Conservation and Community Engagement.
Questions within each of the nine sections reflect a particular IFM principle and together cover economic performance, environmental quality and social health. Management reports are also provided to allow farmers to document, evaluate and map out improvements over time as well as highlight areas to focus on in the future.
The LEAF Sustainable Farming Review replaces the LEAF Audit and has been developed in close consultation with farmers. It offers a very practical, easy to use management tool to help farmers make more informed decisions that will drive their business forward – economically, environmentally and socially.
The LEAF Sustainable Farming Review is available to LEAF members through MyLEAF.
