Annables Farm

Farm Overview: The Farrington family has been farming in Northamptonshire for four generations - managed by father & son, Robert and Duncan Farrington. Farm Overview: The Elveden Estate, owned by the Guinness Family since 1984, is set in the heart of East Anglia, on the Norfolk Suffolk border. The estate is one of the largest single farm units in lowland Britain compromising of 9100ha. Of this 9100ha, 50% is farmed, whilst a large proportion is under environmental designation. Farm Overview: Gilston is a predominately arable farm on rolling ground in North East Fife. The farm, which is mostly South lying, is reasonably well wooded with plantations and strips laid out for shooting in the 19th Century. Field sizes are around the 30 acre mark with a good network of hedges, stone walls, grass margins, beetle banks and conservation headlands. Farm Overview: Great Wollaston is a 242 acre mixed family farm situated on the edge of the Shropshire Hills, on the English/Welsh border. Farm Overview: JSR Farms Ltd have been farming for over 53 years, and is one of the UK’s largest family farming businesses. Farm Overview: The Leckford Estate runs to 4,000 acres, some two miles north of Stockbridge in Hampshire. The Estate is part of the John Lewis Partnership having been purchased by John Spedan Lewis, the founder, in 1929. The Estate incorporates a commercial farm as well as a Farm Shop and Café, Longstock Park Nursery, Longstock Park Water Gardens and other leisure facilities for use by John Lewis Partnership staff. In August 2001, the Estate became part of Waitrose (food stores of the John Lewis Partnership) and the farm produces food for its 300-plus stores either under the Leckford Estate brand or through the Waitrose supply chain. Farm Overview: Hall Farm is situated in the heart of the picturesque Lincolnshire Wolds in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The farm is predominantly arable with a herd of Lincoln Red cattle and a “flying” flock of North Country Mule sheep. Amenity woodland and a small commercial shoot are also part of the Estate. The Estate have long held the belief of the key principles of integrated farm management with Hall Farm being involved with environmental schemes since 2000 when they first entered into a Countryside Stewardship agreement followed by Entry Level and Higher Level schemes in 2008.
